Mackie- The Mad Scientist's video: How to make a plasma Tesla Coil

@How to make a plasma Tesla Coil!
There are 4 states of matter in the universe (in very simple terms!); solid, liquid, gas AND plasma! And plasma accounts for 99.99% of the visible universe- sounds like something worth exploring to me. I'm back- going to be making 1 video each and every week! Apologies this one is a bit all over the place, just getting my bearings back! Wanted to build my own high voltage 10kV Tesla Coil using AC / Alternating Current. I started with DC which is less dangerous but eventually moved to AC- which was Tesla's preferred current type. I took a 10,000 volt NST (Neon Sign Transformer) from a neon sign in my house, shorted it to make a spark gap to get alternating current then whacked in some Caps and a few coils! Ideally I would like to build another huge Tesla Coil but I wouild need a lab to section off the plasma as it gives off pretty intense OV, ozone and it's very loud! This has got me back into making experiments so now I've lined up 7 science videos over the next 7 weeks. I'll add links to the sites I used. I could have made this video 2 hours long covering the maths and mechanics behind a TC so pls ask away if you have any questions! I didn't even really explain how this works and 15 minutes have been swallowed up already. So few ideas for next videos, any suggestions? 1. Huge Tesla Coil with 5 NSTs / MOTs 2. Truth mirror 3. MS87 black hole 4. Mojo softcell contact lens (AR) 5. Google sentient AI 6. ? https://youtu.be/zpdLrMmuPow https://skyandtelescope.org/astronomy-news/thunderstorms-that-shoot-antimatter/ https://www.livescience.com/61013-lightning-radioactive-particle-accelerator.html https://youtu.be/nGQbA2jwkWI Timecodes 0:00 - Intro 0:55 - Mini Tesla Coil 1:58 - Wireless power 3:48 - Basics of electromangnetism 4:22 - Maths- skip if not interested in maths 5:42 - Spark gap 6:50 - Circuit diagram 8:20 - Capacitance- skip if not interested in maths 9:33 - Whole circuit 9:54 - Alternating Current attempts 12:22 - Finally some plasma 11:45 - Ending
