Madde's video: Madde - Clockwise

@Madde - Clockwise
This song was written in 2017 after I traveled to the south and retraced the civil rights movement. For the sake of what is going on in our world right now, I want to release this video to be another light shining on the revolution and bring as much attention to this as I can. Too many innocent black people have died at the hands of a corrupt, racist system. This has to end now in honor of those who have lost their lives and for the sake of black and brown lives in the future. This is a time where ignorance is a choice, we have endless resources to educate ourselves with and to understand what is happening in the world and get an idea of how to fix it. We must keep fighting. Here are some resources to donate and help fund the movement: https://www.blacktranstravelfund.com/donate https://unicornriot.ninja/donate/ https://emergencyreleasefund.com/ https://www.formyblock.org/ https://www.bravespacealliance.org/donate https://www.gofundme.com/f/RentReliefForFamilies http://nationalbailout.org/about/ For People’s Breakfast Oakland Venmo- @Peoples-Programs To help buy supplies for protestors- Venmo @nourishnyc Support the mental health of black women—- https://www.blackgirlinom.com/checkout/donate?donatePageId=5e876fa8f9e11319fb91a78e Let’s do our best to use our privilege to create awareness and fund organizations doing the groundwork. ___________________________________________________________________ from One More Hour, released July 2, 2018 written, arranged and produced by Maddi Gruber Maddi Gruber on guitar, bass, and vocals Justin Almazan on drums Recorded at Los Angeles College of Music in Pasadena, CA Engineered by Madd Mastered by Jake Birdseye and Maddi Gruber Lyrics: I want you To tell me what's on your mind You can kill the man but you can't kill the idea that ran off on its own We built upon a dream that belted out itself now let us maintain unity My brothers and sisters tell me the glory your eyes have seen I want you To tell me what's on your mind We promise to Put our fists to the sky And carry on til’ the end of time Evil ain’t nothing compared to those who don’t say a thing Deep in my heart, I do believe in someday what‘s normal for the spider is bedlam for the fly With misconception as the divider, we have to question why I want you To tell me what's on your mind We promise to Put our fists to the sky And carry on til’ the end of time These names should never be left untouched The bombs dropped will always explode at home We don’t have, we don't have to hate I’m so thankful to be able to ask why and still keep my life I want you To tell me what's on your mind We promise to Put our fists to the sky And carry on til’ the end of time
