Maddie’s Gigi noticed a lump on the side of her neck and told us about it. We watched it for a week, but it remained, so we decided to take her to the doctor. The doctor recommended that we get an ultrasound at Cook Children’s Imaging Center just to be safe. We are so happy to report that we recently learned that it was only a viral infection and nothing serious. The nurse told us that the swelling could last anywhere between 6 to 8 weeks.
