I have 2000 pieces of 2,5 mm sized magnetic balls and I have some experience with 5mm spheres, but these 8mm are some much easier to work with. I will collect more of these. Pyramids are problematic shapes to sculpt with just magnetic balls. Combining same sized magnets and steel balls makes pyramid assembling easier. I used magnets in the first layer, steel balls in the second layer, magnets in the third layer, steel balls in the forth layer and so on. As I was doing this I discovered the magnetic spring effect by accident. In the first shot I spin a magnet attached to a drill under the table.
