Magnet Fishing Cancelled To Do A Good Deed Magnet fishing got cancelled today. A while back, a friend of ours very sadly lost his gold wedding ring. He thought that he may have lost his gold ring whilst he was doing some gardening. Desperate to have his gold ring back, he organised for some metal detectorists to come and do some metal detecting in his garden, hoping that the metal detectors would find it. Despite everyone’s best efforts the gold ring was never found! He lost all hopes of ever finding his gold ring and went out and reluctantly bought a replacement. After hearing this sad story over the telephone, we cancelled our magnet fishing plans and offered to go and search for it for him. We do a lot of metal detecting and know that targets can easily be missed when searching and that it was well worth us going to try to find it even though the other metal detectorists had failed.
