This is the final video in our series on the reading comprehension section of the Official Guide to the GMAT (https://www.amazon.com/Official-Guide-GMAT-Review/dp/1118109791/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1469830223&sr=8-7&keywords=gmat+official+guide). In this final question, we are confronted with a main idea question. I talk about how to approach these questions, how to identify the common wrong answers, and finally, how to find the right answer. :D To approach main idea questions, we first need to attack the passage, which we've already done. We don't need to rephrase main idea questions (since they are usually pretty simple), and we can skip the research step as well (since we already know what the passage is about). So we can go straight to eliminating wrong answers! Common wrong answers to main idea questions include distortions (an extra word that makes the answer wrong), extreme words or language (which doesn't fit with the tone), intricate details from the passage that aren't part of the main idea, and new information that's not in the passage. In the video, I go over each wrong answer choice, and explain which of these categories it falls into.
