This is the first video in a series of 5, which will cover questions -4 in the reading comprehension section of the book. When you're reading Reading Comprehension passages, you need to practice active reading! This means that you need to think about three things as you read: the passage's main idea, its structure, and the author's tone. Don't worry too much about the details in the passage, just focus on those three things! You can always go back and read the details when you're answering the questions. As we find out in the first paragraph, this passage is about two different theories about how fish swim in schools. The second paragraph presents theory A, which has to do with fish grouping into schools so that they're not visible. Paragraph three discusses the critics of theory A, and then it leads into theory B. The fourth paragraph describes support for theory B. As you read, you should take very short notes! The notes I've written on the little whiteboards is an example of what you might right down as you read the passage. Notice that even though the author tends to spend more time on theory B than theory A, the tone of the passage is fairly balanced.
