Maine Railfan's video: 4K Chasing the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train In Maine 11 23-24 2022

On 11/23/2022, I would set out for Milo, ME in hopes of catching the CP Holiday Train. I ended up picking the chase up there and would chase down the Bangor Sub to Hermon where I hoped to watch the show. Little did I know that traffic would make that impossible, with between 8,000 and 10,000 people attending per estimates by the local emergency services. This was 10 times the crowd it was expected to draw and caused a massive traffic jam on Coldbrook Road, Route 2, and I-95. So I decided to wait at Northern Maine Junction, where I picked up the northbound move after a recrew by G16-23. Although I chased to Milo, the video came out very poorly so I didn't add it in this video. After cutting off, I would drive to Elliotsville and would hike to the west shore of Little Greenwood Pond. After a short wait the train came rolling through with a horn salute from the crew. G16-23 would meet train 222-23 at Moosehead Siding so I waited and caught them after the meet. From there I would jump to Parlin Stream in Long Pond TWP, ME and would snag them there shortly after midnight. As the train was pulling into Jackman Yard, train 223-24 got paper to the Canadian Border at Boundary, so I set up at Route 201 and would get them as they left town.
