For a few days in July, I visited Nova Scotia with the primary target being the Sydney Coal Railway. This railroad is all that remains of the DEVCO Railway and its predecessor the Sydney & Louisburg. Following G&W's discontinuance of service on the Sydney Subdivision, this operation became completely land locked. The railroad is owned by Nova Scotia Power and operated by Savage Railway Services. Catching a train on this railroad isn't the easiest task, since they don't always operate consistently. On this day two trains would operate, doing one and a half round trips.
