Chapter 2: Boys, Boys, Boys "So, how are your boys?" Kristina asked later on that day. She and Allie were laying out on the beach. "Blah, can we please not talk about them?" Allie said. "Lets just say, no progress is being made." "Awhh girl, Im sorry." Kristina said. "But who cares, its summer now and the boys are all over the place. Like these ones about to walk by us." "Oh my..." She gawked as the 2 shirtless boys walked past them. "See its time to move on!" Kristina said. "Yeah I guess, and ohh guess whos coming in town tomorrow." Allie said. "Nat and Alex." "Ohh no way! Awesome, were definitely hanging with them." Kristina said. "Oh man, thats too perfect. Youve always had a thing for Nat right?" "Well yeah, but what does that..." Allie started to say. "Ohhh no! Not happening, Im not gonna hook up with Nat!" "Why not? Youve always had that little crush for him." Kristina said. "This is the perfect way to get you outta your boy slump." "Ehh I dont know Kris, I guess Ill think about it." Allie said. "Oh, and wanna hit up the club for my birthday?" "Of course! That one under 21 club in town?" Kristina asked, turning over onto her stomach. "Yupp, just me, you, Nat and Alex. Sound cool?" Allie asked, digging through her bag for her vibrating phone. "Yes it does. Hopefully some boys are there. I need a summer fling or something." Kristina sighed. "I feel ya girl. Youve had a rough year with the boys." Allie said, reading her new text. "Sweet, Nat and Alex got an early flight and are boarding now!" "Nice, we should meet with them for breakfast in the morning or something." Kristina suggested. "Good idea, Ill ask. Theyre in town to finish up their album and do some photo shoots and stuff for it." Allie said, lying back down. "Haha, were so tagging along to get a listen." "Hahaha, I know! I cannot wait to hear it." Kristina said. "I watched some of their live performances on YouTube, and their new songs are amazing. Alex wrote this on called Thump, Thump, Thump and oh my gosh, you would not think a 12 year old would have wrote it." "Oh yeah, he was telling me about that one when were video chatting awhile ago. And I heard Nats song, 18, Ill be Free." Allie said. "I cant believe Polly and Michael are letting them play that live." "Oooh yeah, well theyve always been so encouraging about them expressing their music." Kristina said. "True. Well, wanna head back home to get ready for dinner?" Allie asked. "Yeah, lets go." Kristina started to pack up her stuff and the two headed up the beach.
