After the unboxing, I’ll also give you a quick glimpse of my beautiful African village, where my modern farmhouse project is unfolding. For those who’ve been following my journey, my modern farmhouse is a 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom home that I’ve been building on my ancestral land in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. It’s a blend of contemporary and transitional design, with plenty of space to accommodate family and guests. While the house is almost complete, the landscaping is still a work in progress. I’ve been designing each part of the house with a lot of care, including a formal living room, family room, loft, and a two-story foyer that showcases a gallery wall of family memories. Building this house in the village is more than just a personal project—it's about reconnecting with my roots and investing in my community. Despite some setbacks, including a recent fire that affected the homestead, I remain committed to finishing this house as a symbol of resilience and pride in the place I come from.
