@CHOGM 2015 and the Royal Visit to Malta
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonwealth_Heads_of_Government_Meeting_2015 The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2015, also known as CHOGM 2015 was the 24th meeting of the heads of government of the Commonwealth of Nations. It was held in Malta from 27 to 29 November.[1] Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena handed the position of Commonwealth Chair-in-Office to Maltese prime minister Joseph Muscat at the meeting. The leaders also chose a new venue for the next summit, originally scheduled for 2017, as Vanuatu, which was originally selected as host, has rescinded its offer to host due to the long-term effects of devastation to the island nation's infrastructure caused by Cyclone Pam in March 2015.[23] The British government will be hosting the next CHOGM in London in the spring of 2018, delayed from late 2017 due to other international commitments.[19][24] Accordingly, the 26th CHOGM that was planned for Malaysia in 2019 was pushed back to 2020. Elizabeth II, as Head of the Commonwealth, along with the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall all attended the summit.[26] The summit coincided with a state visit to Malta by Elizabeth II as Queen of the United Kingdom, her first visit to the country since 2007.[27] Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-Moon[28] and French President François Hollande addressed a special session on climate change. Ban and Nicolas Sarkozy, Hollande's predecessor, had previously attended CHOGM 2009 in Trinidad and Tobago prior to the Copenhagen Summit for the same reason. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was absent from the meeting - his government has opposed arguments that the country should curtail its use of coal fired electrical generation and other greenhouse gases. India was instead represented by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Muscat 13th Prime Minister of Malta Incumbent Assumed office 11 March 2013 President George Abela Marie Louise Coleiro Preca Deputy Louis Grech Preceded by Lawrence Gonzi Personal details Born 22 January 1974 (age 43) Pietà, Malta Political party Labour Party Spouse(s) Michelle Tanti Joseph Muscat, KUOM (born 22 January 1974) is a Maltese politician who has been Prime Minister of Malta since 2013.[1] Muscat has been leader of the Labour Party since 6 June 2008,[2] and he was Leader of the Opposition from 1 October 2008 to 10 March 2013.[citation needed] Previously he was a Member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2008. After the Labour Party's victory in the March 2013 general election, Muscat took office as Prime Minister on 11 March 2013. Muscat was elected as Prime Minister in the March 2013 general election. The Labour Party won this election with a margin of about 35,000 votes, which is considered a landslide[unreliable source?] in the country. On 10 March 2013, following his election victory, Muscat was congratulated in a statement by the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, on behalf of the European Commission.[8] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Manuel_Barroso Health On April 7, 2014, Muscat suffered from temporary blindness caused by UV radiation probably related to burns to his cornea. Like 60 other people with similar symptoms, he had participated at a political rally the day before. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Lee_Bouvier https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Vernou_Bouvier_III https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Vernou_Bouvier_III #/media/File:Black_Jack_Bouvier.jpg https://owlcation.com/humanities/catholic-symbols https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Joseph_Muscat,_Leader,_Partit_Laburista,_Malta.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reliance_Industries https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bin_Laden_family http://www.portcullis.co/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cunnilingus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slumdog_Millionaire https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassination_of_Rajiv_Gandhi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonia_Gandhi http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-foreign-secretary-jaishankar-to-attend-working-lunch-with-us-under-secretary-shannon-2339862 http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/jaishankar-takes-charge-as-indias-foreign-secretary/article6833477.ece https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subrahmanyam_Jaishankar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmed_Adamu https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uttar_Pradesh_Legislative_Assembly_election,_2017 http://www.elections.in/uttar-pradesh/ UP Assembly Elections 2017 Dates Phase I Saturday, February 11, 2017 73 Date of Counting Saturday, March 11, 2017 Date of Completion Wednesday, March 15, 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oT-X5Mmy49M
