Man City's video: RODRI RETURNS Euro 2024 winner and player of tournament is back

Our Euro 2024 winner is back in Manchester ahead of City's 2024/25 campaign. Rodri was pivotal to Spain’s success this summer, just as he has been to all of our triumphs since arriving at City in 2019. The midfield metronome is a master at dictating play on and off the ball, controlling the tempo of the game and winning the ball back in the centre of the pitch. As the video says, he’s a player who performs for the good of the team rather than his own individual statistics. However, his numbers in the Premier League go a long to showing just how influential he is to Pep Guardiola‘s record breaking side. The Spaniard has been in the top three players for passes completed in every season since coming to England, including topping the metric twice. He is currently on a run of 50 Premier League games without defeat, stretching all the way back to February 2023. Only former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell can better that, going 56 matches unbeaten between November 2002 and October 2004.
