ManWithNoExpression's video: The Beatles - You Won t See Me - Full Band Cover - Guitar Cover

The McCartney penned You Won’t See Me was the third song off of The Beatles sixth album Rubber Soul. You Won’t See Me was recorded on 11 November 1965, and was released on Rubber Soul on 3 December 1965. It was quite a dense song for 1965 (as most of Rubber Soul is), both musically and instrumentally, having piano (Paul), guitar (George), tambourine (John), drums (Ringo) recorded on the basic track, which was completed with take 2. Vocals were then overdubbed twice onto take 2, with Paul being double tracked on the lead vocal, and at least some of the backing vocals being double tracked. There are also handclaps near the end of the song which I believed were recorded on the vocal track because they are on the right channel in stereo along with the vocals. Lastly, the bass, hi-hat, and Hammond Organ were added. The Beatles’ roadie, Mal Evans, was asked to hold down a single A note of the organ for the last minute of the song. Paul is playing his Rickenbacker bass on this song, and George is playing his Fender Stratocaster. Rhythmantic Sal D’Amato has a decent drum cover of this song, but it’s blocked for copyright. After watching his video, I tried to learn the fills from what they sounded like in the song, which, if I remember right, was a bit different from how he played some of them. Mattiboo did a guitar cover of this song which I essentially copied for the Strat part. I don’t think his video is up anymore though because of copyright.
