Thank you for your kind attention.” - Thank you Cathay Pacific for inviting me to visit the The Cabin lounge at the Hong Kong International Airport on 21 May 2018 for a final reunion after her closure. In this video, I share my impressions of the lounge and my feelings during the final visit. Moreover, I’ve also invited a few Marco Polo Club members to share their memories of The Cabin. - The Cabin, in my heart, you forever stay. - The Cabin opened in October 2010 and has been closed since April 2018. The Cabin may never have shone the brightest among the many other Cathay Pacific lounges in Hong Kong, but for me, it is definitely the most special one. When I was 14, I flew business class for the first time with Cathay Pacific. It was flight CX474 to Taipei. I remember looking through the lounge introductions one by one on Cathay’s website. Because it was my first time flying business class, and having lounge access, I was really looking forward to the day. On Chinese New Year Day, a day I will never forget in my life, I set off to the airport as early as possible so I could spend the most time in the lounge. The Cabin was the lounge that I visited that day. It was not only the first Cathay lounge I had ever visited, but it was also the first airport lounge I had ever gone to. The lounge was not big, and it could get quite crowded. But I enjoyed every single visit I had at The Cabin. I remember during my first visit, I had a few cups of fresh fruit juices, which were exclusive to The Cabin at the time. Two years later, I still love visiting the lounges. In fact, I try to visit all of them before a flight. And if there isn’t enough time to relax in each of time, I still try to get a complete set of re-entry stamps.
