Marina Martinez-Bateman's video: If I Could Bloom I Would

It's the Monday update on a Tuesday evening. I've been feeling really abundant lately. I went and got some tattoos I've been wanting for years that remind me of my motivation for this work and that the bedrock of everything I do is love. I've been leaning into the discomfort this feeling of abundance brings. The New Coyote team has worked hard for this. As a person who tends to like it when there are problems to solve and crises to manage, understanding and accepting the benefits of rest is a growth opportunity. I'm reminding myself that, unlike when I was younger, I can try things out and get things wrong and I'm not putting myself or anyone else in danger if I'm not perfect all the time. Today was also the first day of the Managerial Resilience course I'm teaching at The People's Nonprofit Accelerator, formerly WVDO, and I am over the moon. Because of my health, I can't be as active in the real world as I was before COVID, and that can be isolating. It's easy to get sucked into the news of the world and feel despair. Being able to see a full class of people who are ready to break those harmful cycles and heal from toxic working is filling me with joy.
