Mark Cordell's video: Coronation Day 1953 - Zadok the Priest

@Coronation Day 1953 - Zadok the Priest
Queen Elizabeth II was formally crowned monarch on 2 June 1953 at Westminster Abbey in London. During the ceremony she took an oath, anointed with holy oil, invested with robes and regalia, and crowned queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, and Ceylon. The music that day included George Frideric Händel’s, Zadok the Priest. It is one of four British coronation anthems composed for King George II in 1727 and sung prior to the anointing of the sovereign.
