You join me late Autumn for an evening fishing trip for barbel out on a flooding river. With my boots already wet through and a river that was rapidly rising over its banks in many places, I only had one thing in mind and that was to be very stubborn and see if we could winkle out a barbel from this flooded waterway. During this video I fish and explain my tactics up to around 9 minutes, fishing begins from 8 minutes onwards. This is just me sharing with you what works for me, it isn't gospel, just my individualistic approach. If you see me shaking the rod in the video that is due to the lead becoming jammed with debris behind the Drennan grippa stop.
