King's version was full of mojo and Cream's version was a little more rockin'. I tuned down 1/2 step and played in the D position to facilitate some of the first finger bends. I added a second guitar and also added a bass track. On the original version, the bass and second guitar played played parts that were very close to unison. The original version of this song was in C #. Albert tuned down 1 1/2 steps so he was actually playing in the E position. I had always wondered how he did such incredible bends without snapping a string. Thanks to You Tube I was able to see video of him playing this song and others. On this song the band played in C # while he played in the E position.
