Mark Galloway's video: Give Me A Break - Original Song - Mark Galloway

The inspiration for this song came from a scene in "The Blues Brothers" movie. The scene is the one where Carrie Fisher is holding an AK47 while Jake makes excuses for being late. Golf is usually the culprit with me. I make reference to a couple of my golf buddies in the bridge and another in the third verse. This song is about all of the excuses you might make for being late. The bridge is the truth. At the end I list all of the excuses with four part harmony. I played all of the instruments on this tune. I added a slide guitar part in the style of Bonnie Raitt (in open A tuning). This is one of those tunes that wrote itself while I was driving home from the golf course (late of course).
