Marina Malfatti desidera disperatamente un bambino in questo film drammatico di Marcello Andrei, del 1974. Come il film, anche la musica è tipicamente anni settanta, quando ancora era influenzata da orchestrazioni sinfoniche potenti e toccanti. Il compositore Alberto Verrecchia (allora 19enne) è chiaramente ispirato dalle note cupe e drammatiche dell'adagio di Albinoni, incorporando riminiscenze della settima di Beethoven fino al Tannhäuser di Wagner nei suoi passaggi più drammatici. E un po' ricorda Pino Donaggio.
