As you probably know, on February 6, 2023, a series of huge earthquakes in Turkey and Syria have caused thousands of deaths (currently over 11k) and left hundreds of thousands more in need of shelter, food, urgent medical care and other necessities. This is a heartbreaking tragedy. The same day, I held an online drum workshop for my students and we closed with a drum prayer for all those affected by this devastation.
