Sim Lim Square, also known as SLS, is a prominent retail hub in Singapore renowned for its diverse range of electronic products and services. From cameras, phones, and video cameras to computer components and repair services, SLS offers an extensive selection to meet various consumer needs. Positioned at 1 Rochor Canal Road, SLS occupies a strategic location in the heart of Singapore, in close proximity to notable landmarks such as the culturally vibrant Little India district and one of the earliest public housing developments (HDB). Accessing SLS is convenient via the Rochor MRT station on the Downtown line, providing easy connectivity to visitors and customers. Originally intended as a mixed-use development encompassing shopping and office spaces, construction of the complex commenced in 1983. However, in 1985, the decision was made to transform the complex into a specialised shopping center exclusively catering to electronics and electrical goods. Many of the shop spaces within the complex were acquired by owners from Sim Lim Tower. The construction of the complex reached completion in January 1987.
