It is just like the Sizzling Brownie or Brownie Sizzler you get in the restaurants. Along with the Sizzler recipe, I am also sharing the recipe of an amazing Chocolate Sauce. Recipe :
Brownie Sizzler
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
For the Brownie:
85 gms butter, (6 tbsps)
150 gms dark cooking chocolate, finely chopped
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 cup caster sugar (190 gms)
1/3 cup hot water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup thick, plain yoghurt
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsps cornflour
Walnuts
For the Chocolate Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
4 tbsp sugar
1 tsp corn flour
½ cup chopped dark chocolate
½ cup water
To Serve:
Vanilla Ice cream
Method:
Preheat the oven to 175 C. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with non-stick baking paper, leaving a little overhang.
Add the butter, chocolate and cocoa to a heat-proof bowl and melt for 30 seconds in a microwave or over a double boiler.
Add the sugar and hot water, whisking till the sugar has dissolved.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Now stir in the yoghurt until incorporated, then sift in the flour and corn starch.
Fold gently to combine into a smooth, thick batter.
Spread the batter into the prepared pan, smoothening the top and making sure it's even all over.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until you see a crust has formed on top and a toothpick poked in the center comes out with moist crumbs but no wet batter
Allow the brownies to cool completely at room temperature before lifting them out of the pan using the paper overhang and cut into squares.
For the sauce:
Cook together all the ingredients in a pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat and simmer till well combined and glossy. (approx.. 3-4 minutes)
To serve, heat the sizzler plate till very hot. Keep the plate on the wooden base. Spread some cashews at the bottom. Place a piece of brownie. Place 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream over it. Drizzle the sauce and let it sizzle! Serve immediately.
