Recipe :
Instant Khaman Dhokla
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 4 Minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
1 cup Besan
1/4 cup Sour Curds
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Water
1/2 cup Water
1 tbsp Ginger-Green Chili paste
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp ENO Fruit Salt
1 cup Water
1 tsp Sugar
1 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
10-12 Curry Leaves
3-4 slit Green Chilies
Method:
In a bowl, mix together the besan and the sour curds.
Add in turmeric powder, salt, sugar, ginger green chili paste and mix well. Add more water to make a smooth consistent paste of flowing consistency.
Add in the fruit salt, mix well and quickly pour into a greased mould.
Steam for 20 minutes or Microwave for 4 minutes only.
Allow to cool down completely.
Dissolve 1 tsp sugar in a cup of water.
To make tempering, heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds and the curry leaves. Allow to splutter and add in sliced green chilies. Cook till the chilies are fragrant.
Soak the cooled dhokla with water and pour the tempering over it.
Cut into desired pieces and serve with green chutney.
