We all love Paneer Paratha! But many a times, when we make paneer paratha recipe at home, we encounter a problem. The Paneer paratha bursts it’s seams.
Today I have shared the solution to this problem with my Paneer Paratha recipe. Not only will you be able to make well stuffed paneer paratha that don’t burst, it will also be full of flavour. It is the best Punjabi Style Paneer Paratha recipe you will find!
Along with the paneer paratha recipe, there is also my special masala that I add to the paneer paratha recipe for the true blue Punjabi flavour!

Recipe :
Paneer Paratha Recipe
Preparation Time: 20 minutes + resting time
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 2-3
Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 cups whole wheat flour
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp oil
Water as needed
For the Masala:
Masala
1 tsp cumin seed
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp pepper corns
2 whole red chilies
For the stuffing:
300g paneer
2 large onions
1tsp chopped green chili
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
½ tsp carom seed
1 tsp dry mango powder
Salt to tase
Method:
In another bowl, take flour ,salt and knead it to a soft dough with water. Add the oil and knead well till the oil is incorporated. Rest the dough for at least 30 minutes.
Finely chop the onions. Add 1 tsp salt and set aside to sweat for 15 minutes.
Lightly warm up the whole spices in a pan. Coarsely crush the spices.
Grate the paneer.
Squeeze out all the water from the onions.
Add the crushed spices, squeezed onions, green chili, ginger, coriander leaves, salt to taste and mix well.
Make 6 equal sized balls with the dough. Divide the filling into 6 equal parts.
Flatten out the dough on your palms and stuff with the stuffing. Seal the ball and roll out into a paratha.
Heat a tawa, place paratha on it cook till brown speckles on one side flip and cook on the other side too. Pour 1 tbsp oil all over it and cook both side till golden in colour.
Serve hot.
