Mathematical Association of America's video: Teaching Online Upper Level Math Classes Webinar

@Teaching Online Upper Level Math Classes Webinar
In this webinar, we offered suggestions for developing and teaching proof-based courses in an online environment based on our expertise in running the University of Northern Colorado’s long-standing successful online Master’s degree program for in-service secondary teachers. We discussed course designs and the technical logistics of running a course and program like this. We included examples that incorporate active learning, students presentations, and small group work in breakout rooms into online classes with a focus on teaching upper-level and graduate proof based courses. Webinar Hosts: Virgil Pierce & Nathaniel Miller with additional facilitation from Elizabeth Kersey, Jeff King, and Stacy Elder Learn more about MAA Programs: maa.org/programs Join the conversation on MAA Connect: Teaching Online and Distance Learning Community: https://connect.maa.org/communities/community-home?CommunityKey=b55e29d8-fb6e-4150-95e1-d5b8634bd42d
