I couldn't find a singing partner to be my Kirsty MacColl for this tune, so I decided two different instruments would have to suffice. This is my all time fave Xmas tune and it contains one of my top 10 lyrics ever: "I coulda been someone / well, so could anyone," although admittedly some of the effect is lost when sung solo (or effect enhanced??). Anyway, thanks Shane, Jem and everybody in The Pogues for lending this bright spot to the otherwise dreary scape of holiday music.
