Matt Willis Video Productions's video: TREDINGTON CROSSING BENHALL TUESDAY 9TH FEBRUARY 2021

@TREDINGTON CROSSING & BENHALL, TUESDAY 9TH FEBRUARY 2021
First local trip out for the year for a few hours to get me out of the house before finally going back to the rail replacements on the coming weekend at time of writing! So first, Tredington Crossing, just south of Ashchurch Station just a few miles north of Cheltenham. Here we see Crosscountry HST 43357 & 43303 passing with its 1V50 from Edinburgh to Plymouth, its next stop at Cheltenham at 11:52 Then we see GWR turbo 165130 passing with its service for Great Malvern with its next stop at Ashchurch for 11:56 Then we see Crosscountry Turbostar 170106 heading south with its service for Gloucester. Next we head over to Benhall just a short walk from my house. Here we see in order. Crosscountry Voyager 221144 passing after its 12:52 call at Cheltenham with its 1V52 originally bound for Plymouth, but only running as far as Exeter St Davids due to staff shortage. GWR IET 800027 leaving Cheltenham with its 12:59 1L76 to London Paddington Crosscountry Voyager 220009 approaching Cheltenham with its 13:15 call for Glasgow Central, whilst DRS 66302 approaches the bridge with its southbound TESCO liner from Daventry to Wentloog just outside of Newport. Crosscountry Turbostar 170108 passes after its 13:15 call at Cheltenham bound for Gloucester. At time of filming, another landlip had occured at Lydney so XC services were only running to and from Gloucester, with buses running all stations to Newport. TfW trains were terminating and starting at Chepstow so the buses were supplementing the train services. Next we see GWR Turbo 165130 again, heading back south after its 13:21 call for Weymouth. GWR Turbo 166211 approaches Cheltenham with its 13:46 call for Worcester Foregate Street. Originally bound for Great Malvern, the service was curtailed at Worcester to allow a late running express from London Paddington to Hereford to reach its final destination, so the turbo was curtailed at Foregate Street. Finally, my friend Mark passes us with his Crosscountry HST formed of 43366 and 43239 with 1V54 to Bristol Temple Meads after his 13:52 call at Cheltenham.
