We’ve all been there...⁣ ⁣ Hours, days, weeks, months, and years spent in the gym and we still encounter bouts of dissatisfaction. ⁣ ⁣ We know what we want (or at least we think we do), our goals are set, but somewhere along the way, we lose/shift our focus. ⁣ ⁣ Why does this happen?⁣ ⁣ Usually, it’s because we’ve set goals that we can’t connect with on an emotional level and unfortunately, many people fall into the trap of looking to social media to tell them what to do with their body.⁣ ⁣ I’ve been there before, and my suggestion is, instead of trying to impress others, work to impress yourself.⁣ ⁣ Your turn. Dig deep. Do you feel pressured to look a certain way whether it’s to attract another individual or just to feel accepted?⁣ ⁣ When setting a personal goal, make sure it doesn’t lack depth and meaning.⁣ ⁣ Want to get bigger and stronger? ⁣ Cool…Why How much bigger & stronger?⁣ Can you accept some fat gain?⁣ Do you want to be a powerlifter?⁣ ⁣ Want to get a six pack?⁣ Cool…Why To do a photoshoot?⁣ To impress other people?⁣ To look good for Instagram?⁣ Are you willing to make sacrifices and be hungry?⁣ ⁣ Is your goal for YOU or for someone else?⁣ ⁣ Get crystal clear on this shit!⁣ ⁣ The grass is always greener and people want what they don’t have, but when they get it, they’re not satisfied because they never attached personal value to it. If you live to impress others you’ll lose your sense of self and never truly be happy. ⁣ ⁣ Set more meaningful goals in all areas of your life and learn to love the journey.
