Max Demski's video: Theme From The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack - Extended Orchestral Arrangement

Underrated show and music. Since most of my viewers are born of the 80s and 90s and are firm believers that most (if not all) cartoons are terrible today. That's not true. And Flapjack is a prime example (right alongside Adventure Time). Looks may be deceiving when you first see this show, but Thurop Van Orman's dark but comical and hilarious style makes this anything but just a kids show. I'm a 17 year old guy and can comfortably say that I thoroughly enjoy Flapjack. Reason being, not only is the show funny, but goes back to when cartoons were a real art. The detailed backgrounds and occasional freakishly detailed scary paintings along with wonderful animation make it reminiscent of classic cartoons such as Ren & Stimpy. I recommend you check it out before jumping to a conclusion that it sucks. A lot of people do that just because of Adventure Time's art style. It's a shame. This theme and it's lyrics are based on an old American folk song called "The Big Rock Candy Mountains" I sequenced the arrangement like this because I thought an orchestral version building up from just the traditional accordion version would work nice. I originally was going to make an arrangement where the unused long version of the theme in which contained more references to the song it was based on was included, but decided to have the orchestra grow using what was used for the standard version while splattering my own additions and style all over it!
