Digital literacy emphasizes authorship and inquiry more than simply using digital tools and platforms. By reflecting on what and how students learn from creating media, we consider the potential value of digital authorship and inquiry pedagogies to enhance learner engagement, intellectual curiosity, and confidence. We reflect on how to assess student learning through considering both the learning process and the products or artifacts that result.
