The name tenun Pandai Sikek is initially derived after a village at the foot of Mount Singgalang. In Pandai Sikek, there are dozens of weaving houses with hundreds of weavers. One of the most distinctive characteristic of this tenun songket is the special characteristic of a red fabric with gold woven that almost covers the entire fabric. Tenun Songket is usually wear in weddings including the grooms and the bride along with their family and even the guests. In addition, this Tenun Songket is also commonly used by the Gending Sriwijaya dancer to welcome the guest of honor when they visit Palembang. Tenun Ulos - Batak Ulos is a typical Batak woven shawl. The fabric to make this shawl is usually woven using gold and silver colored threads, and is dominated by red, black and white. Ulos cloth cannot be given to people with a higher position, from a children to their parent for example. Tenun Troso - Jepara Troso is the name of a village in Jepara district, Central Java. The neatly arranged threads are then linked using a plangkan or a series of wooden boxes that are considered nali or tie up the motif using raffia. Tenun Gringsing - Bali Tenun Gringsing is an Indoesian traditional fabric that is make using the double-tie technique and it usually takes around 2-5 years to make one piece of tenun gringsing. Tenun Gringsing is claim to be originally comes from Tenganan, Bali. Generally, Tenganan residents have hundreds of years old tenun gringsing which is worn in special ceremonies. The word gringsing comes from gring which means 'sick' and sing which means 'no', which literally translate into 'painless'. The meaning of this tenun Gringsing has become a reinforcement for many people since there are various extreme and dangerous ceremonies such as teeth-cutting ceremonies in Bali.
