The main thing is learning to take your flat iron on a small section of your hair and twisting it back as you run it down the section. Make sure you have a good heat protectant ( I like Biolage Thermal Active setting spray) and a light hold hair spray ( I used Healthy Sexy Hair) as well as a light oil (I love Alterna Bamboo Kendi oil).
