@SUNDAL - HIGH PROTEIN SOUTH INDIAN TRADITIONAL POPULAR SNACK I MEGHNA'S FOOD MAGIC I VEGAN RECIPE
Chole Sundal
Very popular healthy high protein snack from South India, Sundal is not only made with Chole, it also gets made with Black Chana, Peanuts even Chana Dal. A must have addition to your regular meals especially if you are looking for vegan, low carb, high protein snack to support your weight loss / healthy lifestyle journey.
Ingredients :
1 chopped small Ginger Knob
Chopped Green Chillies (as per taste)
1 spoon Oil
1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
1 tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
Pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
Few Curry Leaves
Freshly grated Coconut
Pinch of Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
Salt as per taste
Chopped Raw Mango
Chopped Carrot
Boiled Chickpeas (Chole / alternatively boiled chana or chana dal can be used)
Finely chopped Coriander
Method :
In a chopper, take 1 chopped small Ginger Knob
Add chopped Green Chillies and coarsely crush it
(If you want you can also add Garlic at this step)
Heat Oil in a pan (I would suggest coconut oil to be used in this recipe)
Add 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Add 1 tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
Add a pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
Now add crushed Ginger & Green Chillies
Add few Curry Leaves
Add freshly grated Coconut
Add a pinch of Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
Add Salt as per taste
Fry well and add chopped Raw Mango
Add chopped Carrot
Add boiled Chickpeas (Chole)
Add finely chopped Coriander
Take it in a serving plate
Garnish with some Coriander and grated Coconut
