Dahi Wali Bhindi | दही à¤à¤¿à¤‚डी बनाने का आसान तरीका | Dahi Bhindi Recipe | Bhindi ki Sabzi | bhindi do pyaza
I love this combination of Dahi added to bhindi while making. Dahi Vali Bhindi is a refreshing change and another addition to daily sabzi options.
Ingredients :
300 gm Okra (Bhindi)
(Rinse bhindi well with water. Wipe with a napkin and cut into pieces 2 hours prior making sabji)
1 cup Curd (Dahi)
1 tbs Gram Flour (Besan)
1 + 1 tbs Oil
1/2 tsp Ajwain
Pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
Salt as per taste
Some Fenugreek Seeds (Methi)
Finely chopped Green Chillies (as per taste)
3-4 finely chopped Garlic Cloves
1 small Ginger Knob, finely chopped
1 medium Onion, finely chopped
2 tbs freshly grated Coconut (optional)
2 tsp Coriander-Cumin Seeds Powder (Dhaniya-Jeera)
Red Chilli Powder (as per taste)
1 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
1 medium Tomato, finely chopped
For garnish : Coriander & freshly grated Coconut
Method :
Cut 300 gm Bhindi into pieces and keep aside
Take 1 cup Curd (Dahi)
Add 1 tbs Gram Flour (Besan), mix well and keep aside
Heat 1 tbs Oil in a pan
Add 1/2 tsp Ajwain
Add a pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
Add cut Bhindi
Add Salt as per taste & cook on medium heat
Transfer Bhindi in a bowl when half done
Add 1 tbs Oil in the same pan
Add some Fenugreek Seeds (Methi)
Add finely chopped Green Chillies
Add 3-4 finely chopped Garlic Cloves
Add 1 small Ginger Knob, finely chopped
Add 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
Fry well and add Salt as per taste
Add 2 tbs freshly grated Coconut
Add 2 tsp Dhaniya-Jeera Powder
Add Red Chilli Powder (as per taste)
Add 1 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
Mix it and add 1 medium Tomato, finely chopped
Cover the lid for 5 min until tomatoes are soft
Further add fried Bhindi and mix it
Cover the lid and cook for 5 min on medium heat
Add Dahi mixture by keeping the heat low and mix it
Again cover it and cook for 5 min on low heat
Turn off the heat and take it in a serving bowl
Top with some fresh Coriander and Coconut
Enjoy this Scrumptious Dahi wali Bhindi with Roti
