With so many different types of wheels and materials used, there are a lot of different types wheel cleaners to select from. Begin by determine the type of wheel and surface you are working with. However, Hot Rims Chrome Wheel Cleaner is formulated specifically for chrome, to cut through both road grime and brake dust revealing a mirror-like shine. Meguiar’s Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner – Meguiar’s Ultimate Wheel Cleaner is the most recent and contains the most advanced wheel cleaning technology. If you don’t know what your wheel is made of, this is I the perfect choice as it’s strong enough to clean tough brake dust and grime but gentle enough that it’s safe on all wheels. This premium formula turns brake dust purple and road grime brown so you’ll know it’s working. No matter what wheel cleaner you are using there are a few things to keep in mind: 1. Carefully follow the directions on the wheel cleaner. 2. Always work on a cool surface and in the shade. 3. Work on one wheel at a time. 4. Wear the recommended safety gear.
