Mel Clarke's video: Mel Clarke - Pay it Forward

So after a very nice Bank Holiday Sunday with the family and then drinks with my friend Mark, I got chatting to a homeless girl called Lisa. She became homeless after leaving an abusive relationship, and has been on the streets for a year. She mentioned that she almost chopped all her hair off today as its been that long since she showered her hair was minging which lead on to her mentioning a local hotel that takes homeless for only £22 per night and she already had £6. She wasn't begging but I said 'Fuck it Ill get you the money so you can go and have a shower and a bed for the night'. As Mark came back to pick me up in a cab as we had decided to head back to mine for a G&T , Lisa and I got in the cab to take her top the hotel. As you can imagine she was immenself grateful, and it felt good to pay it forward to her hoping that one kind act might make a big difference in her pretty bleak life as it is right now. And my friend Mark who is suffering not seeing his 4 year old son right now, as his ex decides as and when he can see his son for no reason. After getting to know him I suggested he take back control and go legal which he is now right in the middle of. From being in this situation he has discovered that 21 men per week commit suicide that are in this situation which is tragic. There are awful dads out there who don't see their kids or are abusive to them, and then there are good dad's who want to do the best and are denied because the mother puts her own emotions before her childrens. But again Mark now wants to pay this forward and set up a group whereby these men can get together, share their stories, feel heard, and gain advice which I think is absoultely brilliant. Again something small which will make a massive difference for some people. So I urge you all to pay it forward in your own way...as we know these small acts make a difference and set off a chain reaction around the globe a million times over.
