We went on holiday for a week to Cornwall in July. We were based in Camborne and visited some fabulous beach resorts in the vicinity. Carbis Bay was one of them. We also visited Marazion Beach, Kaynance Grove & St. Ives Beach. Thank you very much my dear friends for taking time to watch this video. Take care and stay safe :0) Carbis Bay Beach ============== Carbis Bay is a large sheltered beach. One of Cornwall's seven award-winning Blue Flag 2019 beaches, with safe bathing beach surrounded by subtropical splendour. This picturesque bay, located in St Ives, offers outstanding views and a magnificent sandy beach. Located less than a mile out of St Ives is Carbis Bay. It is a wide sandy beach with good facilities making it particularly popular with families. It is also fairly sheltered both from the wind and the waves owing to its position in the lee of large, tree covered cliffs. Served by the picturesque St Ives branch line and around a mile long, the golden sands bathe in the bright light of west Cornwall. Part of an array of beaches that make up St Ives Bay, listed as one of the world’s best by the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Organisation, the beach at Carbis Bay is surrounded by sub-tropical plants and lapped by turquoise waters which just might just have you thinking you were somewhere much further south. In times gone by the beach was known by various names including Barripper, Porthrepta and Carrack Garden Cove. Back in those days the beach was mainly used by fishermen to launch their boats. On rare occasions it is possible to surf at Carbis bay but this requires an enormous northerly swell. When there is surf it is particularly popular with body boarders with powerful, wedgy waves occurring close to high tide. Carbis Bay is also convenient to get to. Being outside of St Ives you can avoid the worst of the Summer traffic and in addition it also has its own station on the St Ives train line.
