@Rhine Falls Europe's Biggest Waterfall In Switzerland
My dear friends, Wishing you all the very best for the New Year.. Hope you had a fantastic festive season. During the Christmas season we went on a tour of Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and France. It was a very exciting trip and we were able to see many wonderful places. Even though we had visited so many places I had captured only a few locations which took my eye so that I could be in touch with you all through YT. This video is of the Rhine Falls in the Swiss-German border and located in Switzerland. It is a fabulous place and in addition to the Rhine falls spectacular scenery there are so many things that you could do. The falls are an example of the wonders of Nature. I hope to share some of my videos of the most scenic locations from the trip in the coming days. I wish that you would enjoy your stay at Rhine Falls and thank you very much for your kind attendance..Wishing you always peace & happiness..!! Rhine Falls – Europe's Biggest Waterfall ================================ Europe's biggest waterfall is in Switzerland. Rhine Falls near the village of Schaffhausen fascinates visitors with its great water volume. The Rhine Falls provides a magnificent spectacle. Across a width of 150 meters (492 feet) and a height of 23 meters (75.5 feet), 600 m³ (21,189 cubic feet) of water plunge over the falls in the summer. Due to tectonic shifts in the Ice Age, the Rhine River was forced into a new riverbed over 15,000 years ago. The Rhine Falls came into being at the transition point where hard chalk turned into soft gravel. Over a breadth of 150 meters, several hundred cubic meters of water rush into the depths at the rate of 23 meters per second. In the middle of it all stands a mighty rock that has withstood the elements for a thousand years. The rock can be reached on a circular tour of the Rhine Falls, during which one can observe the natural spectacle from up close. Virtually in the middle of the waterfall, visitors stand on platforms that jut out and partially hover over the Rhine. The castles of Wörth and Laufen can be reached by river boat, and very daring visitors can rent canoes. An adventure path with elevator goes from Laufen Castle to the outlook platforms and enables an unobstructed view of this spectacle of nature. A boat ride to the Rhine Falls basin, the rocks in the middle of the Rhine and downstream to the national border or farther to the Rheinau power plant is also worthwhile. The Adventure Park at Rhine Falls is on the north bank – one of Europe's most spectacular rope parks. All those lusting for adventure can glide from tree to tree on 11 different courses with a breathtaking view of Rhine Falls. The falls can not be climbed by fish, except by eels that are able to worm their way up over the rocks.. The nearby city of Schaffhausen is commonly associated with the falls too. Even though the Rhine Fall is a form of mass tourism, the natural beauty is overwhelming and for sure worth your time.
