I dislike Black Ops 3 in it's current state. It has awful matchmaking, terrible connection, annoying Specialists, disconnection issues, makes getting together friends hard, and it's full of microstutters and lag spikes. Not to mention the guns are boring. Sure, the lag may be fixed in a patch, however it doesn't fix the other issues I have with the game. They're not going to take out Specialists, it's a core gameplay mechanic that doesn't make sense to have. Comparing it to Destiny (get over the comparison with Destiny, the ability function is identical to the Destiny Supers) they play awful. They don't even play well in Destiny, honestly. Giving the player who sits around and camps (or does nothing) the power to obliterate you with a Gravity Spike, Sparrow, or see through walls with a Vision Pulse is broken. The movement systems also bug me, sure it's fun to wall run on "Freerun" but that's about it. I was never a fan of the vertical play style and it disappointed me heavily to see it brought into a game I had a decently high regard for when it was announced. It makes gameplay too sporadic and the enemies and spawns too unpredictable, causing a mess comparable to that of Advanced Warfare (though Black Ops 3 movement is miles better than Advanced Warfare's.) They could create a solution to this by creating a "Classic" playlist similar to that of Advanced Warfare's, however, like Advanced Warfare's classic playlist it would most likely not flow well due to the map design and be sparsely populated. As a precaution to those of you who will inevitably comment that this all because I'm on the Xbox One, keep in mind all the platforms have the same issues. To quote Erik (M3RKMUS1C/Nerd Plays): "My buddies on the PS4 are experiencing worse down time since it's the console with DLC exclusivity now, the PC players say the game is not optimized well and they get low frame rates, and the X360/PS3 players pretty much get 1/3-2/3 of the full game experience with 30FPS, low res textures, and delayed patches from a 3rd party developing studio. No platform is currently winning when it comes to running this game..." I really hope Treyarch can turn it around, there are no more games coming out this year that have grabbed my attention, and though I do enjoy Destiny, I don't feel as though I would like to put another 1,000 hours into it.
