It has become a matter of the ecochamber in which you speak, rather than the veracity, rigoros formulation and logical consistency of the nature of the information proposed. When it comes to established facts I tell it how it is, when I share opinions I trying to avoid bias. Of course Some bias is always present, after all information is always as reliable as the verifiers we implement. which is why I'mhappy to hear any correction from you. So it is always our duty to implement guards against selective bias and retract statements we make if they are postumosly found to be incorrect. Now onto today's topic. Lately there has been a lot of talk of women vs men, female vs male due to the whole Olympic games situation specifically within the context of Olympic boxing. Good luck opening Twitter for more than 18 seconds without being flooded with all sorts of takes on the matter, many of which are rather inflammatory. The situation about the boxing match between Algerian Boxer Imane Khelif and Italian boxer Angela Carini is the new culture war battle ground. I'll briefly share my moderate take on that quickly without lingering on it too much, and then move onto the broader topic of men vs women, which is more interesting to me. In my opinion the discussion on avoiding unfair advantages for athletes should be a basic topic, but as usual the misinformation begins where no one is capable to have an actual conversation exchanging ideas without biting each other's heads off. No one uses hypotheticals, everyone is a biologist now, a geneticist and DNA expert. Not a transgender related topic. IF it's a biological male, then this person doesn't belong in female sports. IF the athlete is a biological female, she does even if she is very masculine. IF it's an intersex situation as some claim, then I would refer to medical experts and sport regulations on the matter, but in general rather than using what a passport says, I would suggest basing your decisions on quantifiable values such as chromosomes and actual testosterone levels. Competitive hand to hand combat has always been divided in weight classes for pretty much the same reason as to why we divide females and males. Unfair advantages. Which is why this comment makes zero sense. We don't put Mike Tyson against a feather weight. We don't. Yes I put a lot of IF because I didn't see this person's medical records so I don't make absolute claims. But also I put a lot of ifs because this I believe should be the way we apply for such situations in general. That's my take. But now let's move to combat and the sexes in a broader sense because people do share opinions on this constantly and ostensibly even though these opinions may appear based at first, they are often compltely incorrect. On one side you have people who deny sexual dimorphism, here are some examples people also deny real history. (cherry debunking) as a way to I suppose try an be inclusive, it's nonsense. It is a fact that for the majority of instances in human history men went to war not women. A part from some numerically insignificant exceptions. It is a fact of biology that men on average tend to be bigger and physically stronger than women. Whoever tries to deny this lives in fantasy land. Be taht as it may, the fact of the matter is Reality is not poltical it asserts itself whether you like it or hate it. Truth is truth whether you beleive in it or not. However it's also important to underline that there are people who take this established fundamental truth we just shared and take it too far making statements that are completely off. This is the case with Andrew from the Daily Wire and the debater Andrew , so today I would also like to respond to them as there are a lot of angles that I would love to discuss about this.
