Michael Hartigan's video: Hartigan s Live Loop Jams - 1

A spur of the moment improv piece with a looping pedal, keyboard, voice, and a couple of toys I had lying around. I'm thinking of making a series of these in different styles with a few different instrumentation combos. Since I got the looping pedal, I've had a lot of fun seeing what I can come up with on the spot. It's really opened up some creative doors. UPDATE: As of 1/11/2015, this video is retroactively becoming part one of my (hopefully) 52 part series of live looping improv pieces. Moving forward, I'll upload one of these every Saturday. It should be fun! The idea is to use a looping machine to create grooves and solo over them with my voice, keyboard, and whatever other instruments I may have lying around. I'm also going to make an effort to keep it fresh and not repeat myself too much. It's a good opportunity to explore (and maybe invent) some new styles and instrumental combinations.
