Ironically, she supported defunding the police after potentially being saved by one. Maybe her attitude toward the police will change a bit after being rescued. Yes, the rioting at capitol hill was terrible, we all know that. But politicians only react when something happens to them, and not to others, just ask Lori Lightfoot. She stayed silent during the summer riots until actual peaceful protests were on her block, and then she called the police. That’s like when a republican civilian hates on Obama-care until they realize they need it. AOC, wasn’t it also terrible that innocent small business owners went through the same thing you did during the summer riots? And yet you stayed silent on that one. Don’t be upset if we return the favor. Speaking of Congress, the House votes to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene from committee assignments. The reason being, she is insane. Sure, makes sense. I wouldn’t want the soup nazi serving me any soup. She has a history of being a conspiracy theorist, and her anti-black, Muslim and Jewish rhetoric. So thanks to the house, but can we finally also do something about Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib? Saved By The Bell Actor, Dustin Diamond, died from stage 4 lung cancer. May he rest in peace. He might have had a troubled past and a conflicting relationship with his costars from the show, but he was the show. He was a legend. There is no Saved by the Bell without Screech. Someone should have told Jimmy Fallon that when he orchestrated the reunion on "The Tonight’s Show" a few years back. Cancel culture strikes again! After breaking the ice and banning trump, Twitter bans the “My pillow guy,” and Sephora cuts ties with a Youtuber because she is a conservative Trump supporter. Sephora says that they did this because her values don’t aline with theirs. Well, why not? This isn’t the first time something like this happened throughout history. Sephora, I know you think you’re woke, but wake up! This isn’t high school where you won’t invite someone to your house party because they aren’t cool enough, this is the real world! What’s it called when you discriminate against someone who doesn’t aline with your ideology, a dictatorship? Dictatorship - A dictatorship is a form of government characterized by a single leader or group of leaders and little or no toleration for political pluralism or independent media. What is your defense here? That you’re not a form of government? That’s no better than a cop saying that they don’t have to abide by the law because they feel that they’re above it. New York City Council looks to further defund the police. Seems like a great idea with crime rising rapidly. Let’s learn from Minneapolis, which cut its police budget by 8 million dollars already, while homicides are up 73% and carjackings are up 331%. And they’re looking to completely dismantle the police to replace it with some kind of other public safety. Yea sure worked marvelously in Seattle’s CHOP ZONE over the summer. The same setup, massive crime, resulted in bringing back the police. Wasn’t the crime in NYC unbearable in the ‘70s because we didn’t have enough proper policing? Is this what we want to bring back? History repeats itself and people never learn. Yes, people say that there’ll always be crime anyway, but that’s like saying not to do anything about climate change because the planet is screwed anyway. WTF moment of the week: PETA claims that insulting others with words like “Chicken” or “Pig” is an insult to Chickens and pigs. And that it hurts their feelings. Also, using this kind of terminology oppresses them. Sounds reasonable, if animals actually spoke to us and had the concept of understanding what we’re saying. It probably would have been wiser to say that insulting others that way gives us a bad perception of these animals and might drive certain people toward animal cruelty as a result. Maybe PETA just wanted some attention, to look like they’re making a difference, but darn did that backfire when other animal rights activists and vegans called out and mocked PETA for such silliness.
