Michael Shulman's video: Melodic Death Metal Violin Solo

Found this little curiosity in my archives and decided to share. Many have wondered how Shred Violin would sound in a Metal band - so here is an example of that. Bit of back-story: in 2012 I was contacted by the member of the Italian band 'Lunarsea' to record a solo for their song "Aphelion Point." I really liked what I've heard and was happy to add my music to the track. Soon after, I've had a shattered-glass injury that left a couple of my left hand fingers badly hurt ( here's a link to a pic https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200197396841188&set=a.1405791148363.56267.1339930136 ). After I notified the group about this accident they became doubtful that I will come through with the track before the deadline, so they've contacted someone else who ended up being on the album, even though I've succeeded on delivering my track on time after all. This was recorded in one take and it is no improvisation. I spent a few hours composing the solo and recorded it with the bandages on my fingers.
