Hex: N7's video: School Experiment: Operant Conditioning

@School Experiment: Operant Conditioning
This is my daughter's fourth grade science experiment. She was testing if positive and negative reinforcement could change a mouse's behavior. Her father made a homemade Skinner box for the project. The box is made out of a clear bin. He used legos covered in black duct tape to make the door way into safe room. The floor in the test room is made of electrical wiring, aluminum foil, and duct tape. Wires are connected to a safety switch (light switch) which are connected to the top of one unmoving bar and the bottom bar., When the top and bottom bar connect, an electric shock occurs so long as the bar is pushed by the mouse. The wiring is connected to a small battery. Minimum voltage used so as not to harm mouse. All attempts were made to ensure the safety and healthy status of her pet mouse. NOTE: The electric charge should do no more than cause a human hand to tingle when touched. Current status of the mouse: Alive and happy. This project was inspired by B. F. Skinner and his work with Operant Conditioning via positive and negative reinforcement. She became interested in the subject when I showed her videos about it (I'm a psychology major) and decided to do her science project on the subject. All you see in this video is my daughter's hard work. I admit I helped with the details, but the procedures, materials, hypothesis, question, etc...weere created by her and she alone did the project. All I did was record it and all her father did was build the box since it was too dangerous for her to mess with the wiring. This is being upload to the internet at the request of my daughter who created this project. She wanted to share this with anyone interested in repeating her experiment for educational purposes. Please DO NOT re-upload, either here or anywhere else without my (daughter's) permission. This is 100% my daughter's work, a project that was given a lot of time and effort to complete. Remember: it's not nice to steal from a 10 year old. (PS the background music is Beethoven's 5th Symphony). - Midi, a proud mother
