Twenty-five years ago, I was $250,000 in debt, running a failing business, and recently divorced. I was fat, depressed and scared as hell. One of my best friends -- who had also been going through a rough time as a seventh-year college student, fat, and for all practical purposes, a barely functioning alcoholic -- connected with me after being out of touch for six months. To my surprise, he was in great shape, had recently had great dental work done, quit drinking, published a book, and was traveling the world as one of Adobe’s top Photoshop experts. I was blown away to say the least, and when I asked him what happened, his two-word response was: Tony Robbins. That night, I opened up my mailbox to find a brand-new credit card with an $8,500 credit limit. When I walked upstairs to turn on my TV, Tony Robbins was on a late-night infomercial talking about his Personal Power package. I immediately whipped out that brand-new credit card, ordered the package, and had it rush delivered. Forty-eight hours later, I listened to the first 15 minutes of the recording and was hooked. Tony was speaking to me. I picked up the phone, signed up for Life Mastery, maxing out my credit card after paying for a plane ticket, the event, and hotel. Six months later, I had completely reinvented my brain, body and business and was in negotiations to sell my first company to a publicly-traded company. Fast forward about six years after that, and I was sitting in Tony Robbins’ house setting up his studio. I wound up creating two launches and a couple of products for Tony in addition to speaking on his stage multiple times. It wasn’t long after that I was working with Brian Tracy, John Assaraf, Paula Abdul, and met a guy named Kevin Harrington. Kevin and I became fast friends. He spoke on my stage and we’ve helped each other out as mentors.
