This is a response (filmed by my tech Eric) to the tens of thousands of incorrect assessments of my hand technique: I do NOT play from the fingers and the source of what moves the drum stick, otherwise, my lat, tricep and entire right body 'system' would not move. I am posting this because this moves uses MORE fingers than any other I do and it still, is not PRIMARILY 'from' the fingers. There is no other move that uses as much finger as this and yet... why is back moving if I played from the fingers? It is important to me as a person that influences and helps other to vehemently tell you to not listen to anybody but ME about what I do and how I do it. I do use my fingers as a primary source sometimes when not hitting hard, but as I've said for over thirty years of being interviewed, ignored/misunderstood/misinterpreted...whatever... for some reason, that drummers don't want to work hard in acknowledging that using the bigger muscles takes decades more practice time, WORK and yields less injuries and more power in the long run. This goes out to the folks watching me on Time Warp that think they know what I'm doing when they say I "play from the fingers" and are wrong as wrong can be and to those wanting to simply play the drums with less injuries that accompany more speed and power.
