In this video I'm talking about some characteristics of four primary Leadership styles - which type of leader are you? Or sometimes a better question is which type of leader do your people think you are? And - which do you want to be? There are positive views and negative stigmas of each of the leadership styles I am discussing. NOTE - there are several sub-styles of each of these, this is not a definitive, all-inclusive list. Leadership styles in management are important because that heavily determines how managers will interact with their staff. It becomes helpful when you are in business and interacting with people to know what leadership style you are, because it can allow you to communicate with others so that as individuals and as a company you can see success. Here are the 4 styles of leadership I talk about in this video. 1. Authoritarian Leadership 2. Democratic or Participative Leadership 3. Laissez-Faire Leadership 4. Paternalistic Leadership or Parental Leadership You may ask yourself, "What makes you a good leader?" "Are you a good leader?"
