Stop wasting your time and energy trying to peel off the sticky residue of double sided tape. I had rain guards on my SUV and two cracked so I needed to replace them. When I removed the old ones there was a large amount of the foam tape still remaining and rubbing alcohol, WD40 and other chemicals were useless. After some extensive research I came across this rubber wheel generally used for removing old decals and pinstripes off cars. It did the trick and saved me so much aggravation.
